Commonwealth Games 2010 Prepration
Delhi is all set for its biggest event ever. Roads, flyways, stadiums, shopping malls, security, power backup, hotels – everything is under the process of advancement. Athletes and tourists will be provided with innumerable amenities in October 2010.
Major Issues
The Government is making arrangements for providing free accommodation for athletes, a modern-comfortable Games Village, high-end health facilities, security, pollution-free environment, transportation etc. Moreover, all the athletes will be provided with a free trip to the wonder monument Taj Mahal. A broad lane will also be reserved on selected highways for participants.
Language Issue
When we discuss the preparations from touristic point of view, the cab drivers, guards, waiters, and other service staff members are being taught the English language. For this purpose, the Government is designing a scheme under which about 1,000 people will learn English every month. This scheme will be regulated to all the prominent tourist destinations in the nearby region of Delhi, including Agra, Mathura, Bhopal, Gwalior, Gaya, Puri, Jaipur etc.
